I’ve purchased your delicious honey for several years and also use a couple cups of it each time when making a months supply of a modified version of “nature’s flu shot” – a daily liquid elixer (6 ozs or so) that includes your honey, juices, garlic, cayenne, and ginger dried spices. It has a kick to it, but my husband and I have been sickness, cold and allergy and flu-free for 4 years.

Recipes

NOTE: Honey should not be fed to infants under 1 year of age. Honey is a safe and wholesome food for older children and adults.

Banana Yogurt Shake

Ingredients

1 ½ cups lowfat milk
2 medium, ripe bananas, peeled
1 cup plain yogurt
¼ cup honey
1 tsp vanilla
½ tsp ground cinnamon
5 ice cubes
Dash of nutmeg

Combine all ingredients except ice cubes in blender and blend until thick and creamy. Add ice cubes one at a time and blend until smooth. Makes 4 servings.

Honey-Peanut Butter Granola Bars

Ingredients

2/3 cup honey
¾ cup chunky peanut butter
4 cups granola mix

In 4-cup microwave-safe container, microcook honey at HIGH (100%) 2-3 minutes. Stir in peanut butter; mix until thoroughly blended. Place granola in large bowl. Pour honey mixture over granola and combine thoroughly. Press firmly into 9 x 13 x 2-inch baking pan. Let stand until firm. Cut into bars. Makes 36 bars.

Honey Bran Squares

Ingredients

¼ cup honey
¼ cup butter or margarine, melted
4 cups miniature marshmallows
6 cups favorite bran cereal
1 cup peanuts

Blend honey and butter in large saucepan; stir in marshmallows. Cook and stir over medium-high heat until marshmallows are melted. Mix cereal and nuts; stir in marshmallow mixture until well-coated. Press into lightly greased 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan. Cut into squares. Makes 24 squares.
